This listing is for a beautiful game day program from the HISTORIC Inaugural season in beautiful, brand-new, state-of-the-art Lucas Oil Stadium. This program is from the game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Jacksonville Jaguars on September 21, 2008, in beautiful downtown Indianapolis. These programs are already RARE collector's items, and have historical significance as well, as it was obviously the FIRST season in new Lucas Oil Stadium, and the programs for that 2008 season reflected this. The opening of this new stadium was greeted with much fanfare, as it was one of the most historically significant developments in Indianapolis Colts, and the city of Indianapolis' history!
These 2008 Colts game programs were especially beautiful because, to commemorate the Grand Opening of Lucas Oil Stadium, every 2008 program, for every game, has beautiful silver leaf across the top that says: Lucas Oil Stadium Inaugural Season (sometimes difficult to capture in the listing pictures). Also, in the bottom left corner it says: Season One, with a beautiful likeness of the stadium, also in silver leaf. Absolutely gorgeous! This program is in MINT condition and features a great shot of Colts DBs Bob Sanders and Kelvin Hayden on the cover, with a great accompanying article. The program includes bios on the Colts awesome trio of Owner Jim Irsay, GM Bill Polian, and head coach Tony Dungy, along with bios & pictures of all the Colts assistant coaches, and a listing of every single Colts employee working for the team. Regular features include the 'Preview of Today's Game', the Community Relations section, Colts Connections, the Fan Of The Game, the Colts Make It Personal Moment, Colts Cheerleader Spotlight, 'Questions With The Rookies' (this week DE Marcus Howard), along with pictures of every single Colts & Jags player, a roster, depth chart, and stats for both teams, and too many other things to list. Lots of cool Colts advertisements, broadcast info, and much, much more. These programs are great collector's items now, and will only become more rare & valuable as the years go by!
