This machine really is the Cadillac of what is being made today by the industry.  You will not find a more complete machine than this Euro-Pro. 

This machine was a demo machine that has been used at my store for demonstration purposes.  It is clean and in perfect working condition.

This machine has many little gadgets built in.  First let's start with the built in needle threader.  You no longer will have trouble threading the needle.  There is also on the front of the machine a magnet to hold your sewing needles, pin needles, etc...  Never again you are going to lose all of these things! Of course this machine has a thread cutter, always very practical.  And finally there is a Lcd display that will indicate you all the time the stitch that is currently being selected on the machine, the pressure foot that you can use with this stitch and which stitch width and stitch length you can select for this specific stitch.

Mechanical parts made of metal!

All the mechanical parts on this machine are made of metal.  The oscillating hook(semi-rotating) is driven by metal gears to insure power,  reliability and efficiency.  This machine is built to last a long time and has a lot of power.

This machine has BIG advantages compared to many other models !

• No chance to lose individual cams, they are inside the machine (built in)
• It uses METAL bobbins & a METAL bobbin case: the good old system, thread jam proof.

It is powered by a built in motor that has a lot of torque.  The motor is controlled with an electronic foot controller to insure a high degree of precision to control the speed of the machine.  It has a built-in light controlled by a switch that also controls the motor.

There are exactly 32 different stitches on this machine.  These stitches include many decoratives and embroidery stitches, utility stitches such as the blind stitch and the overlock stitch and also there are many stretch stitches to allow yourself to sew on extensible materials.  There pictures below are samples on which I have tried all of them.

This Euro-Pro has power!

With this machine you will be able to sew on thicker materials such as denim, canvas, security belt, sheepskin, tarps, sunbrella, sailcloth, soft leather and more.  Of course it will take care easily of the regular materials such as cotton, silk, chiffon and polyester.  I have personnally tested this machine on the following samples which include soft leather, jeans and cotton and polyester.

*Please note that it will not sew horse saddle, knife sheaths or any kind of super heavy leather.  For this you need an industrial machine.  Also note that it WILL NOT sew on anything that is more than a 1/4".

Special features

With this Euro-Pro it is really easy to make different kinds of projects so that you will not have to pay a seamstress to do it for you.  I have done a few examples of what can be done with this machine so that you can see the potential of this machine.  Please note that I am a sewing tech professionnal not a professionnal at sewing, so it is possible that the following projects may not be correctly done.  I did it only to show you what the machine can do.

How to make buttonholes easily using the 1 step automatic buttonholer!

Now this is starting to get very easy!  With the 1 step buttonholer, this operation will not require a lot of time from you.  Simply start by replacing the original pressure foot with the buttonholer foot.  Then place a button(the one that will get into the buttonhole) at the end of the buttonholer foot.  This will make the machine adjust automatically the size of the buttonhole by the size of the button.  Then turn the little wheel on the right side until you see the buttonholer stitch on the lcd screen.  Drop down the pressure foot and also pull down the buttonholer lever.  Push this lever and press on the pedal.  The rest is automatic!

How to easily sew on button!

If you are interested to make buttonholes, you may also be interested to sew button using your sewing machine.  With this Euro-Pro it is possible and very easy.  First step: place the button foot on the machine.  Then drop down the feed dogs by pushing the feed drop button on the right side that you can see on the first picture below.  Then place the button between your material and the button foot.  You have to make a zig-zag stitch to sew a button so select a zig-zag stitch with the stitch selector.  The zig-zag width will vary with the button size.  This machine will sew most of regulars buttons like this one, those a little bigger and those a little smaller.  So start doing your zig-zag in between two holes(usually it is crossed).  Always start using your hand to be sure you have selected the good zig-zag width so the needle will not brake on the button.  Then go with electricty but not too fast.  Finish the first side and do the same thing for the other one.  Now you have just sewn a button much faster than you would have done it with your hand!

Using the overlock stitch: Almost like a real overlock!

This is really an interesting feature of this machine.  Many people decide to buy an overlock machine that usually cost over 300$.  With this Euro-Pro machine you can have a similar result using the overlock stitch and the overlock foot.   First you need to have 2 pieces of fabric that are not assembled together, that is why we use an overlock to put them together.  But it can also be useful to simply make pants hemming.  So put the two pieces together, then put the overlock foot and select the overlock stitch, it is the J stitch on the stitch selector.  Now you have to adjust your overlock stitch using the screw to make a perfect overlock stitch. 

Now start with electricity and try to sew really on the edge of the materiel.  Go slowly first and you can go a little faster once you feel comfortable.  And now it is done, on the left image below you can see the side of the material that I have sewn on.  Lets say this is a T-Shirt, this is the inside of the T-shirt.  The right picture below represent the outside of the T-shirt.  As you can see, on the apparent side we don't even see the thread and I used a yellow thread on a green material so that you can see the operation.  Usually we use a thread that is the same color of the material.  It is as strong as a real overlock however it does not cut the material like an overlock would do.  You have to cut the material before doing the overlock.  Really amazing!

How to sew a zipper!

It is a really useful feature of this machine.  You can sew on any kind of zipper with this machine.  You only have to put the zipper foot and use a straight stitch.  Place the zipper between the material and the zipper foot and do the first side.  Then you have to change the side of the zipper.  Just unlock it and put it on the other side(very easy to understand when you are in front of the machine).  Then you only have to do the other side the same way as the first side and you are done with your zipper!  Again you are supposed to use a thread that is the same color of your material.

You can sew with the double needle!

A double needle will fit on this machine if you have to make two parallel stitches.  You can make either straigth or zig-zag stitch.  But you cannot make the maximum width zig-zag stitch or the other stitches because it will break the needle.  To do this simply install a double needle on the machine the same way you would install a single needle(double needle is not included with the auction).  Then put a second bobbin of thread on top and thread the machine the same way you would thread it normally.  Now you are ready to make a double needle stitch!

Make manual embroidery!

By using the embroidery foot, you can make manual embroidery.  You can make all kinds of patterns, letters or numbers with this foot.  First place the embroidery foot on the machine and drop down the feed dogs.  You will now be able to control manually your machine.  You now have to draw what you want to do on your fabric.  In this example, I wrote my ebay nickname: sewmax.  Please note that you need a circle to bend the material before doing embroidery.  In my case I did not have one, this explain why the material has been stretched.  Now all you have to do is to cover with stitches all of what you have drawn.  It feels like you are coloring it when you do it.  It is very fun to do!

More, more and more!!!

There are also more applications that you can do with this machine.  You can apply cording using the cording foot.  There is 3 spots to put cording on this foot so you can apply 3 at once.  I only used 1 spot in this example.  You simply insert what you need to apply on one spot or more in the cording foot, select a zig-zag stitch and adjust the zig-zag width and you are ready to go.  It is very easy!
