THE WEIGHT OF THE MACHINE IS 35 LBS !!!

Some ebay sellers are selling sewing machines on ebay  as industrial strength machines but have a plastic main body. The entire machine is surrounded by a plastic housing. They remove the front and rear plastic casing and just show the alunimum body in their ad.  Also being fully covered with plastic on the outside that makes the machine very lite weight weighing about 15 to 20 lbs. Some of them are sold under the names of EuroPro,  Omega, Shark. These are actually the same machines you would find in Costco,Walmart,Sams or other big boxstores. But not our machine. Our machine again weighs 35 lbs and the main body is cast iron. If you want a true heavy duty machine you need the weight and cast iron to be durable enough to hold up for constant heavy sewing. If you still are unsure just ask the seller for the weight amount of the machine and ask what the front and rear body casing is made out of.

The Singer Company produced many of these heavy duty machines strictly for heavy duty sewing under the Acme/Merritt name designed to handle all your heavy duty sewing needs.  This 35 lbs. machine has a cast iron housing and is rock solid battleship strong.  Not only will this machine handle all your heavy duty sewing but you can sew lightweight fabrics also like silk and knits.

This machine can do everything.  You can straight stitch, zigzag, reverse sewing, utility stitches and many decorative stitches.

Simple top drop in bobbin!!! 

All you have to do is drop the bobbin in. You never have to remove the bobbin case!! Most all higher end machines  have a top drop in bobbin. And you will always know how much bobbin thread you have left because you can see the bobbin in plain view. Check to see if the machine you are buying has a top drop in bobbin. Its so much easier!!

THIS IS A FULL ROTARY HOOK MACHINE

All Sewing machines have either one of two hook systems. The best system is a full rotary system which means the hook goes around in one complete revolution or 360 degrees. This system will never jam up even if you happen to run off of your fabric while sewing. The other type of hook system is called an oscillating hook which means the hook goes back and forth 180 degrees and more prone to jam. Of the 2 hook systems the full rotary is by far the more precise and you will see this in the more exspensive machines only.

The zigzag goes up to 6 mm on the width.  Most sewing machines only go to 5 mm.
