This is an invitation on a single card to attend a  New Year's social to be held at the residence of Mr. John Schenck  near Dayton, NJ on Friday evening January 4, 1888.   Music was to be provided by Prof. Hart's orchestra.  There is a line which says Committee with the three names of the organizers mentioned.  Dayton,NJ  is located about 5 miles from Princeton, NJ.  It is possible that Prof. Hart was a member of the faculty at Princeton or also at Ryder College which specializes in music.  The invitation is in very good condition with minor creases and soil.  It measures 5" x 3".
