Medium sized PETERSON Dublin buldog 11386 EMcM SHS [300]

This pipe in my opinion has everything going for it. A sterling silver band clearly identifies it as made in 1929. The briar is impressively grained and in excellent condition. Nomenclature is crisp. The genuine amber stem is in near perfect condition, with the no cracks or chips or toothmarks. It screws snugly into the shank by means of what appears to be a threaded bone tenon. Peterson rarely used such stems after this era, so we have here one of the last examples of the unbelievable work they could accomplish, carving the complicated Peterson lip into amber. This is a museum quality display pipe, and if you elect to smoke it, the bore offers a full draw and the tobacco chamber is sound and thick-walled.
