You are bidding on an original piece from IRON MOUNTAIN STONEWARE. This line of stoneware was designed and produced by Nancy Patterson Lamb from 1965 to 1991. Iron Mountain Stoneware, Nancy's NP signature with a flame, was manufactured until 1992.
This piece is 8 inches in diameter and is 1 1/4 inches deep. Weighs 1 lb.4 ozs. Color is pale grey with cobalt blue. This piece carries to design for the Tennessee Homecoming 1986. The name Brentwood is on the plate. This is a surburb of Nashville.
Piece has been in storeage for many years and has no chips or cracks.
Nancy spent two years as a guest artist at the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Manufactory. A year in Finland followed at the Arabia factory in Helsinki, where she had an art studio. Another scholarship permitted her to travel and study throughout Europe, the middle east, India, and Southeast Asia. In 1961 she returned to the US and with a native of Damascus, Virginia, Albert Mock, founded a factory in Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee, to manufacture hand crafted dinnerware, Iron Mountain Stoneware.
