Here is an amazing vintage 50's dress, loaded with fun details! Made of a crisp, jet black cotton, the dress features a notched collar, cuffed sleeves and side bust darts. The dress is a shirtwaist style, with 5 black plastic buttons closing the front to a little below the waistline and there's a single metal snap at the waist. The waist is circled with tons of knife pleats before flaring out into a very full (not a full circle) skirt.
But DIG that KILLER PRINT! All over the dress are little red and white squares with a print of maracas, tiki huts, palm trees suns, and a scattering of other random designs like diamonds and polka dots. It's an amazing tropical isle print, a rockabilly cutie, perfect for summer!
There is no maker's label or size tag left anymore, but fits like a modern medium. Please follow these measurements for your best fit:
BUST: 38"
WAIST: 29"
HIP: very full
BODICE: 17"
SKIRT LENGTH: 24", with an extra 3" to let down if needed
CONDITION: Excellent! There are no stains, smells, fading or holes. The fabric and seams are strong, the dress exceptionally clean. Washer/dryer friendly and ready to rock!
Payment will be due within 7 days from auction's end, please. Paypal is awesome, but I also accept money orders (international m.o.'s are fine too, just make sure they're made out in US dollars), and Echecks. Keep in mind that Echecks can take forever (and by forever I mean up to a week) to clear, so if you're in a hurry that's not a great way to go.
Shipping within the US will almost always be via Priority shipping with tracking, because it's a wonderful thing. I love my international customers like crazy and you're always welcome at Fast Eddie's! Your items will be mailed out via First Class International shipping...well, almost always. You do have the option of springing for Global Priority shipping, because there's tracking information with it, but Global Priority is pretty pricey, so keep that in mind. And PS: no, I can't mark items as gifts and yes, you will most likely have to pay some kind of customs tax or fee in your country when your item gets delivered.
Once I mail off your item and it's out of my hands, it's really hard to control what happens to it after, except for the tracking number within the US. Generally I ship in tyvek or flat rate cardboard envelope mailers, to keep shipping costs as low as possible, but will use boxes for more fragile items like beaded sweaters and such when needed. And have no fear, I'm a firm believer in good wrapping!
AKO (military) addresses will receive FREE shipping! Just give me the heads-up first so I can send a special invoice minus the shipping cost.
And remember, Fast Eddie's never charges any extra "handling" or "packaging" fees, just as close to exact shipping as possible!
The boring stuff~Important, though!
Returns will be always be considered! The only terms I cannot accept a return on is for color or fit/size. A color you see on your monitor might be way off from what I see on mine, so if a particular color is important to you, just drop me a line and I'll explain it better. Because vintage sizing is totally different than modern sizing, I always have detailed measurements listed. If you're unsure of your own measurements or if something will fit you properly, I'm more than happy to help you out! And remember, the size listed is the actual size of the garment~ your own body measurements should be smaller than the garment so it'll fit. Unless you want it to be tight, then more power to you and rock on.
Of course I want you to be enamored with your item, so if you have issues upon receiving it, please drop me a line right away and I'll try to fix any problems! I understand that shopping online can be tricky, so I'll always try to be as helpful as possible- this isn't the mall after all, this is way cooler. If you are returning something back to me, it must be shipped out within 3 days of originally receiving it.
