Printed in 1885, this is a beautiful, 123-year-old color map of Italy including Sardinia and Sicily. It measures 10 1/2 by 13 1/2 inches (about 27 by 34 cm.), and is in Fine condition. This map is VERY detailed showing latitude and longitude, topographical features, provinces and states, cities and villages, routes of old railways, etc. The entire map is surrounded by an ornate decorative border typical of finer maps of the Victorian Era.

It ships complete with certificate of authenticity documenting source, maker and date of printing.
Ideal for genealogy purposes, not to mention being highly decorative, this map was printed on a single sheet of stock and bound into an antique book. There are no folds, creases, marks or stains. A similar map of Austria-Hungary is printed on the reverse. Highly suitable for framing (see sample below), it would look gorgeous side by side in your great room, office, den, library or study. It is similar to many of the maps shown in expensive mail-order catalogues, only this is an actual antique, not just made to look like one. Not a modern copy or reproduction!
