Offered is a folded poster Giambattista Bodoni of Parma, a detailed introduction to ITC’s new digital font ITC Bodoni. International Typeface Corporation (no date).
The ITC Bodoni revival was conceived by Allan Haley, art directed by Sumner Stone, and produced by Janice Prescott Fishman and Holly Goldsmith at Xerox Corporation, Jim Parkinson at Parkinson Type Design, and Stone at Stone Type Foundry.
Poster design and typography by Jack W. Stauffacher. Photo facsimiles of steel punches used in Giambattista Bodoni’s original design, original specimens and portrait of Bodoni from Manuale Tipografico, 1818.
Measures 7 by 10-1/2 inches folded (as issued), 21 by 28 inches opened.
In very fine condition. Front and back of folded piece show slight toning at edges. Poster side is clean with no markings or paper disturbance.
