Ichigo Kurosaki...

...is the main protagonist in the Japanese Anime series Bleach. In addition to the main series, Ichigo also appears in the three feature films in the series, two original video animations and several video games.

Ichigo is a rarity. One of only a few living humans in the Bleach universe to possess innate spiritual powers. These powers are both massive and contagious. Ichigo's zanpakuto is Zangetsu, or "cutting moon".  Zangetsu's bankai is named, Tensa Zangetsu, "heavenly chain cutting the moon". Ichigo's bankai is unusual in that it is compression of his spiritual power, rather than a vast expansion as is usually the case. As a result of this compression, Ichigo can move at incredibly high speeds.
