This is a fantastic antique Illinois watch from about 1913. It's a 12 size (case is 1.84in or 46.7mm across) open face watch with a solid 14K yellow gold case. The Dubois Watch Case Co. case is really spectacular with very little wear. It's heavy gold, hinged bezel and back with a dust cover. The case has a repaired dent in the back and has a small dent in the dust cover but looks like new in the hand. The 17 jewel adjusted movement has screwed-down gold jewel settings and a gold center wheel as well as a double roller. It's in excellent cosmetic condition with just a few spots on the winding wheel, and also excellent mechanical condition. Winding and setting are perfect and it keeps good time. I haven't weighed the case, but this type of case is usually about 20dwt or about 4/5 of an ounce. The entire watch is 2.2oz. This is a great antique watch in a very special case and a good way to own some gold in a shaky economy.
Thanks for bidding, -Reid
