Up for auction is an InFlight-200 South African Airways / Suid Afrikaanse Lugdiens Boeing 747-200 named "Drakensberg". The 1:200 model was released in September 2008 and only 243 units were manufactured. It was available for pre-order; and by the time it was released, all units were already Sold-out!

This model has never been on display, it was stored in a linen closet in its original packaging including the box it was shipped in, so it's virtually NIB (new in box). I took it out of the box to take the photos for this auction, thus the pictures you see are for the model you'll bid on.

"Drakensberg" was one of the first B747's delivered to SAA/SAL in December 1971 and this model happens to be in its original livery - polished belly and orange tail.

I set the Reserve at $199 to protect myself from eBay scams. This is a very desirable model, considering there were only 243 units (worldwide) manufactured. The die-hard collector will not part from this model - therefore don't miss out if you want this model in your collection! The same models sold for $314 just a few weeks ago; and I have seen as high as $467 for this model!

UPDATE: International Shipping + Insurance

I had quite a number of questions from International bidders asking about Shipping and Insurance:

USPS (United States Postal Service) offers "Priority Mail International Large Flat Rate" at $53.95 to anywhere in the world! The 'bad news' is, the Plane will not fit into that box.
