  Description:

India 1941 a black bordered two page letter typed on printed letter head of Government of H.H. The Maharao of Kotah and addressed to Maharaja Sumer Singhji Sahib, Maharaja of Indergarh. Discussing the illegal and speculative activities being practiced by the opium traders of Indergarh Thikana. Rates of various types of Opium and Charas at which these drugs are being sold in Kotah and Indergarh Thikana are mentioned and suggests to fix the rates according the rates fixed by the Kotah State.

This letter is written and signed by Ram Babu Saksena, Officer of Kotah State. An interesting and unique letter.

Indergarh State was a Thikana (Fief) of Kotah State.  

Two filing holes, pin holes, fold creases and other faults but overall appearance of the letter is fine.
