The lot I am offering for bids today is for a very beautiful necklace , to which I have no history on.
I have had it for many years and just recently "rediscovered" it.
I would never misrepresent an item intentionally, so its best I mention that I am clueless on its orgin or date. I'm afraid that researching would take forever.
I can tell you that there is something special about this piece. Each of the metal "arrows" is unique and different from any other. It appears to have been painstakingly handmade. I cannot determine the metal content, for it looks like silver on the reverse and gold on the obverse. The patina suggests copper. There is a substantial amount of weight to this piece for it's size.
To me it looks very ,very old. I am knowledgable to a degree, but this one has me stumped. I thought perhaps from india, if anyone would care to share their knowledge, It would help me to make a more accurate description...Thank You !!
The overall wearable length of this piece is 24 1nches. The beaded section is 16 1/2 inches in length. The necklace is constructed with a very old sting.
I have seen newer pieces that have been crafted to "LOOK" old, and I am convinced that this is not one of those, however, I cannot tell you what this necklace is other than magical.
I will start the bidding low , set no reserve price, and ship for free. This is for you, not as a reflection of this items value.
GOOD LUCK WINNING THIS NOBLE LOT !!!!
