  Description:

India 1941 a three page letter typed on printed letter head of Government of H.H. The Maharao of Kotah and addressed to Maharaja Sumer Singhji Sahib, Maharaja of Indergarh. Discussing the law provisions made by The British Government for the cultivation of Opium, duties on opium, opium trade and rights of States (Kotah) and Kotris (Indergarh). A paragraph on Auction and Export of Opium to China on second and on part of third page. Discussing about the disputed matter of opium trade between Kotah State, Indergarh Thikana and British India Government. Must read all the pages displayed in above images. 

This letter is written and signed by Ram Babu Saksena, Officer of Kotah State. An interesting and unique letter.

Indergarh State was a Thikana (Fief) of Kotah State.  

Two filing holes, fold creases and other faults but overall appearance of the letter is good to fine.
