II. Egyptian Islamic Silver Inlaid Brass Beggar’s Bowl A. Diameter at rim: 4" (102 mm) Diameter at base: 2" (51 mm) B. Height: 1 3/4" (45 mm) III. Egyptian Islamic Silver Inlaid Brass Beggar’s Bowl 1. The bowl has three silver inlaid calligraphy panels. Heavy gauge, hand turned, hand hammered, with chasing & engraving, and copper inlay on brass. IV. Egyptian Islamic Silver Inlaid Brass Beggar’s Bowl 1. On the bottom, calligraphic & floral elements are engraved enhancing the overall designs. V. Egyptian Islamic Silver Inlaid Brass Beggar’s Bowl 1. The engraving is nicely done, but the inlay found in this piece is more simple than the 19th century examples. VI. Egyptian Islamic Silver Inlaid Brass Beggar’s Bowl 1. Excellent condition.
