This rich necklace is from one of the Turkoman tribes of Central Asia. Most of the elements are gilt silver, encrusted with faceted colored glass. II. Antique Turkoman Gilt Silver Necklace 1. The heavily gilt round silver elements are arranged in a triangular form. The necklace’s massive dimensions and heavy weight casts a shadow of doubt about if its was really intended to be worn on woman’s neck. B. Weight: 722 grams = 23.2 troy oz. = 1.6 lbs. III.
