This is a beautiful ceramic apothecary jar, approximately 10 1/2" tall with lid, up to 4 3/4" wide.
Footed shape with a domed lid. Beautifully hand painted with a crowned coat-of-arms and colorful flowers. Bears a black inscription in gothic lettering.
Age and origin unknown, no manufacturer's marks. Probably Italian, Spanish or Portuguese.
In excellent condition, no chips, no cracks, no wear to the designs. There is crazing.
