A national chain of art stores recently quoted a price of over $50.00 to stretch a 20 by 24 inch canvas oil painting. The bottom line is that you are much better off paying perhaps $5.00 more for shipping your oil in ready – to – frame form than $25.00 to $50.00 to have it stretched and mounted later.
