Italo Corinthian Helmet with crest and natural plume
This helm is apparently, judging from artistic and archiological evidence, among the most popular helm during the Archaic and early Classical periods because it was less expensive to manufacture and did not obstruct the wearer's critical senses of vision and hearing. Numerous examples of Corinthian helmets have been excavated and is has been depicted on more sculpture than any other helmet It seems that the Greeks romantically associated it with glory and the past. The Romans also revered it, from copies of Greek originals to sculpture of their own. This is a well made, full size helmet in 18ga steel and comes with a real horse hair plume mounted on a base that attaches securely to the helm. The helm is about eight inches across and nine inches deep and will fit a head size of about 23-24 inches with light padding. This is a new item with no problems.
