The wonderful posed Senior Cap and Gown photo for Janis Joplin is accompanied by her activity list which shows her having been in the "Slide Rule Club!" This copy is in excellent condition with the cream-colored cover showing minor marks and wear.  There is some minor foxing on the face pages.  There are TONS of ads! As an extra bonus, for you football fans, Jimmy Johnson is a Junior in this book with several super shots including an individual football shot and posed Junior head photo. It is clear that Janis was ever mindful of her high school years. Janis was ready in August 1970 to confront the Jefferson High classmates who had called her a slut. Whether her primary purpose in attending the tenth-anniversary class reunion was revenge, a desire to be worshiped as a hero, or just a quest for acceptance is unclear. What is certain is that she left Port Arthur feeling further alienated from her classmates, her parents, and her hometown.   She was dead two months later!
