JAPANESE CERAMIC ART VASE w/tag attached ca.1970s

Up for your consideration today is a vintage ceramic vase.

This one is circa 1970s and still has the original gold tag attached.

It is Japanese in origin and is considered an art vase.

However, it could be used to hold a single flower.

And, would look dramatic in a mod home or shop setting.

Or displayed proudly on a shelf with silk flowers.

It measures 9 3/4" high.

The top opening diameter is 6 3/4" across.

The base diameter is 2 1/4" across.

The glaze varies from the top in lavender to the base in beige.

With a ribbed effect in the clay.

The glaze itself is rough.

There are no chips or cracks in this piece.

The gold tag is in Japanese symbols -with the #31.

The right edge of that tag has been pulled up a bit -

as someone tried to peel it off.

No tags or writing anywhere else on the vase.

A very interesting piece for the asian art collector or gardener.
