You are bidding on an Owl Shaped Covered Lacquer Box that was probably made in Japan during the second half of the 20th Century. It is Not Signed and there are No Identifying Marks, however, it’s unusual shape and the fact that it is Hand Painted, leads us to believe it was a Studio piece and Not Intended as a Tourist Item. The Box stands 6 ¾ inches high and measures 4 ½ inches in diameter at its widest point and it has a Black ground with Blue, Green, Red, White and Gold Accents. The Box is in Excellent Condition without any chips or cracks or any other form of damage or signs of wear. Please refer to the photographs on the left for further details. We hope you like it.
