Features :
8
I gave it an 8 just because of what it is, nothing to do with quality or anything.
Acoustic dreadnaught slope shoulder
Select spruce top
Mahogany Sides and Back fantastic looking
Tortoise shell pick guard
Binding on body and neck
Thin neck
1-Volume & 1-Tuner with Bridge pickup under the saddle (A/E)
Single bottom strap holder (none by the neck..)
OK Tuners
Pickup under the bridge, and if it ever died I doubt you could get at it to replace it.
Rosewood neck with med frets
nylon nut
allen wrench
Based on the price I assume it had to be made in China
Sound :
9
Sound is Fantastic especially after replacing the crappy factory
strings. When plugged in its not bad either. I'm plugging it into a
vintage 100w Montgomery Wards tube amp. Very warm rich sound, both
plugged in and not plugged in.
Action, Fit, & Finish :
10
The finish is amazing, especially for the price. No flaws at all, the
setup was a wee bit high for me but I like it as low as I can go and
still sound good. I'm not going to mess with it more than likely.
Reliability/Durability :
No Opinion
Seems solid, I'm fairly gentle with my hardware. It will last a long
long time for me. I suppose if I was touring or at a paid gig, it would
be dumb not to bring a backup of some sort, so the question is..dumb.
It seems put together very well, but no rating just because, who
knows only time will tell, if it unravels ever, I'll write back in.
Overall Rating :
10
Been playing off and on for 35yrs
If it were lost I'd replace it in a second
The quality is very good and price...I dont get it.
I have electrics and have had an Ovation. This is more or less a copy
of a Gibson j-1603 @$2500 (Aside from the Gumby head on the Turser)
There isn't a flaw I can find on this beautiful guitar, they are selling
around $220 Unless you just have money to burn, or have some ego
name-sake hangup, this will be the best couple bills you ever spent on
a guitar.
Value and apparent quality vs Cost = a 10
