Biography:

Born: 1932, Saint-Felicien, near Chibougamau, Quebec, Canada

Well listed French Canadien artist

Self-Taught, Jean-Claude Simard has exhibited more than forty times since 1970. 

He had a show of 50 paintings inspired by Louis Hemon's Maria Chapdelaine (a famous novel) at the Peribonka Museum.  In 1988 one of his works was chosen to appear on the cover of the 220,000 phone books distributed by Telebec in 14 areas of Quebec.  His works were included in publications: 100 Paintings to Honour Maria Chapdelaine; Saguenay and Lac-Saint-Jean in Painting.

His paintings are in many business collections in Canada.
