If you are looking for a start on a large set of high quality German china, here it is. Johann Haviland Rhineland pattern with 69 pieces! And, the start price is only $4.35 per piece! You might find a saucer for that price somewhere but not any of the other pieces. Included are- 12~ 10" Dinner Plates 16~ 9" Wide Brim Soup Bowls. You will have plenty leftover to use as serving bowls! 12~ 6" Bread Plates 12~ 7 1/2" Salad Plates 12~4 7/8" Fruit Bowls 1- 14 5/8" Large Platter 1 12 3/4" X 9 3/4" Small Platter 1~ 8 1/4" Tea Pot. Actually, the more I look at this I think it's a coffee pot. 1- 4 1/4" Covered Sugar Bowl 1~ 8" X 6 1/2" X 4" Gravy Bowl with underplate, one piece. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Total 69 Pieces John Haviland formed the Johann Haviland Company in 1907 in Waldershof, Germany. It was made until the late 1980's so this set is at least 30 years old or more. These pieces look like someone bought them and put them in a china cabinet for years never using them. The condition is fantastic, the pattern is blue flowers with gray scrollwork and platinum rims. I just looked at each piece one at a time holding them in the sunlight checking for any utensil marks. I'm not going to say I didn't see any at all (although I didn't) because you may find a piece with a tiny mark and call me on it! It took me hours to find the name of this pattern. Enjoy this beautiful set! PLEASE TAKE A MINUTE TO READ THIS BELOW SO YOU WILL FEEL MORE CCOMFORTABLE AND SAFE DOING BUSINESS WITH ME. Returns***** eBay, in their infinate wisdom has taken yet another decision away from the sellers and THEIR businesses. They have made it mandatory to say whether we allow returns or not. In my case, it depends on the situation. If the customer is really unhappy for a real reason, I work somethng out for them. I had a lady buy 27 pieces of silverplate flatware over 100 years old for a mere $10.00. I was just trying to find someone who could use them at that price so I didn't have to throw them away. She went bonkers and had a fit because they weren't in newer condition!! Even though my auction made all details clear, she wanted her money back. Of course eBay took it out of my account and gave it to her. It's like going to a garage sale and demanding your money back on an item. I also had a guy who thought the seller should be responsible for the shipping cost and gave me horrible feedback for not paying for it. Every case is different. I try to live by the "Customer is always right" but once in a great while it's pretty hard to do. My feedback speaks for itself. There will always be that 1 or 2 a year who are so far off from reality there's really nothing we can do for them because they will never be happy no matter what we do for them. So, I marked NO RETURNS because I'm not going to have customers say something like "This isn't the exact color I was looking for" which actually happened to me and then be forced to give a return. I believe new merchandise should always have some kind of Warranty~ Return Policy but not used items, especially if they are 100 years old! I take care of my customers so they always come back! ABOUT SHIPPING.......................My aim is to give my customer the best shipping at the best price with proper insurance if and when it's needed. Just to give you an idea of shipping/handling costs for this item guessing at the packed weight, to ship from here in south Florida to Hollywood California all the way across the USA would be about $60.00 UPS OR LESS including $400 free insurance in this auction and more insurance is downright cheap. US Mail Parcel Post would be about $60.00 (more Priority) + $1.70 for $50.00 insurance if you want it. (THESE ARE ESTIMATES NOT THE SHIPPING/HANDLING COST FOR YOUR DESTINATION. MANY TIMES IT ENDS UP LESS THAN THESE QUOTES.) If you live closer to Florida shipping costs are usually less. My guess is usually higher than the exact figure which you will find on your invoice. Please do not pay until you receive an invoice with all the exact fIgures. eBay is now forcing sellers to show shipping/handling for each item listed. It's not possible to know the weight, size of the box and where in the entire globe it's being shipped before the item is even sold or packed to arrive at a figure. Most sellers just guess with a high figure so they don't get stuck losing money and the calculators on eBay are not accurate especially with UPS. My figures directly from UPS and USPS are almost always less than the calculator figures so I don't use it. I refuse to charge someone 5 miles away the same as someone 2000 miles away. It's cheating my customer and I will not do it. PLEASE IGNORE ALL FIGURES IN THE SHIPPING SECTION ON MY AUCTIONS. I JUST PUT IN SOME INCORRECT FIGURES UNDER FREIGHT USING THOUSANDS OF POUNDS THAT WILL LET ME FINISH MY AD BECAUSE THERE ARE NO CORRECT FIGURES UNTIL AFTER THE AUCTION. If you are a serious bidder and you still need more comfort about shipping/handling costs just email me at rdouvres@comcast.net and I can make a guesstimate for your particular zip or country but it will only be a guess because I don't have the exact packed weight and it will only be a dollar or 2 more or less than my guess above. I try to make this as easy and fair as possible for my customers and I am so sorry if this causes you any inconvenience. I am bent on helping my customers so they come back. \ If you take a look at my feedback you will see I am also known as a terrific packer so my items weigh a little more but I have very little breakage, especially with china or fragile breakable items. Thank you for your consideration.
