If you've never heard of John Tavares, you will very soon. Tavares broke Wayne Gretzky's single season OHL goal scoring record in the 2006-2007 season with 72 goals in only 67 games. Tavares also notched 62 assists for a league best 134 points. He did all this while being a 16 year old competing against 18-20 year old opponents. In 3 seasons in the OHL, in 191 games, Tavares has tallied 157 goals and 172 assists for a total of 329 points!! Again, he's doing all this while usually being 2-3 years younger than his opponents. Tavares is one of those rare talent that only comes around once in a long while. Tavares recently led Team Canada to its 5th straight World Junior Hockey Championship, taking the gold medal and also winning the MVP for the tournament. This card is professionally graded a BGS 10 (which is PRISTINE!!), the highest possible grade given out by Beckett Grading Services, the top grading service in the sports card industry.
