Jost Raab Stirling Hot Air Engine fans have been around from 1903 - 1920 produced.
The mystery of the fan is the Stirling engine, a burner heated by a kerosene lamp and heated with kerosene.
The operation of a Stirling engine is not complicated. He has no carburetor, ignition, valves or other complex components.
Stirling engines, the expansion of the air, while it is being heated, and the contraction of the same air while it cools
Developed and manufactured in Germany, this fan of Hubertus Friedrich Raab (1853-1922). Raab from 1887 in Zeitz hot engines orchestrate the company Späth Piano Factory and Fountain Room. 1903 he started the series production of the fans at the company he Jost in Bombay. Carl Jost was the company that Raab fans sold from 1903-1920. Carl Jost was a German inventor, including in Alsace umlegbares a trellis-Hop invented before 1882, he emigrated to Bombay Jost patented fan in 1905.
He was cast iron, steel, brass and wood.

The state this year veteran is totally original with all original parts. It is absolutely difficult to Jost fans in this state, if any to be found. I'm not even sure if a German museum can do something. The condition shows that he is not more than one or two occasions was used.
 Has the serial number 26025 engraved on machine.Has name plate at from bottom .On back has
original paper round lable with name and fan photo.
 
 Special attraction is the wooden box with 3 photocopeis  pasted below top lid of box. with in the instructions
 waring papers. The box has signature of Jost fan but not sure if the box is original.
One collector was ready, only for the box to pay 300 euros. 
 I bought this fan from very old princely state of Rajasthan sate of India.

    The fan is in good working condition. 
The burner tube has a small window with mica, mica, to the flame of the burner to see.
Oil is used as fuel. I tried, the fans, and he works very quiet and nice cool air blowing.
