The First Edition of The Lord of the Rings was first released in 1954 and 1955. The US Second Edition was released in 1967, so the production of this Edition was rather limited. Pages were printed in Great Britain, with only a few thousand produced for each printing.

The Fellowship of the Ring - Book is in overall good condition but with some heavy edge wear and a short tear to the cloth cover at the bottom of the spine. Binding is cracked before the title page and at the rear end page. Some marking in the margins, mostly partially erased in pencil. One word was found written in pen in a margin, with a few underlined words. Large fold-out map in good condition is still attached to the rear paste-down, with a couple light stains and some stray pencil marks on the back. New Mylar-covered facsimile dust jacket.

The Two Towers - Book is in solid condition with edge wear and slight spine lean. A few markings found in the margins. Nice fold-out map still attached to the rear paste-down. New Mylar-covered facsimile dust jacket.

The Return of the King - Book is in overall good condition with edge wear. Crack in binding before the half title page and small tear to that leaf at the bottom. A few markings found it the margins. Large fold-out map in good condition is still attached to the rear paste-down, with a couple light stains. New Mylar-covered facsimile dust jacket.
