Video Cassette Recorder

Up for auction is a JVC VHS HiFi Video Cassette Recorder Model HR-A591U in great used cosmetic condition.  The body of the unit has few to no scratches or scuffs on it due to normal wear and tear.  The display is still in pristine condition and shows no signs of visible damage.  Please refer to the provided pictures for details.

We powered on the unit and ran a test tape in order to check all of its features.  The picture came out looking flawless, so it appears that the auto-tracking is functioning correctly on this unit.  The sound came out sounding a little scratchy which can be attributed to the bad tape we used.  Overall, the unit sounded decent for a VCR.  We then tried the fast forward, reverse, play and stop buttons which all seem to be working well.  Next we tested the record function by recording from one unit to another.  It appears that the unit records well and overall has very few issues with it.  During the recording process, we also tested the A/V RCA inputs and outputs which both seem to be functioning fine. 

This unit comes with (1) RCA line in, (1) RCA line out, (1) VHF/UHF input, and (1) VHF/UHF output.  The VHF/UHF input and output were not tested but seem to be in good physical condition.  The power requirements for this particular unit are 120 Volt and basic 50/60 Hz with a power consumption of 9 Watts.  NOTE: This unit comes with an attached basic 2-prong NEMA 5/15 power cord.  Other than powering on the unit and testing its controls, no further testing was done to the unit.  Due to seeing no functional problems with the VCR, we must sell this item as in working order and as described.
