Here is a RARE  and Kool Looking Electric Guitar:    a made in JAPAN used FENDER Stratocaster with Schaller Tremolo (licensed under Floyd Rose patents) and locking nut.  I am auction this guitar with a non Fender "vintage style" black Hard Shell Case.  But it you prefer a Fender gig bag (to reduce the weight of the pack and the shipping cost will be lower) - please let me know.   This guitar was made in the late 1980's (1988 or 1989).  I believe that the color is White (that has aged) - Vintage White??  Rosewood Fretboard.  White 3 Ply Pickguard.  Comes with tremolo bar.

SERIAL NUMBER:   H028252

 Made in the JAPAN

Sorry no orignal paperwork

The guitar was recently set up and it has new strings on it (10's).

Note:  Any glares seen in the pictures of the guitar have been caused from the camera's flash.

I will add some details the condition of the guitar and case soon.  But the pictures are pretty reliable.

No modifications -  as far as I know.   I am not the original owner.

Maple neck, not sure of the body, SSS pickups - not sure of the exact types,  5 positon pickup selector switch, GOTOH Maching Heads / Tuners, 21 frets (not jumbo / not thin),  creme (aged white) colored tremolo cavity plate, creme (aged white) pickup covers,  chrome colored hardware, the neck plate has a black trim,  Floyd Rose Style SCHALLER (made in Germany) Tremolo - licensed by Floyd Rose, Locking Nut(s),

".....So, Fender (under the direction of Dan Smith at the Fullerton Plant) started to really get things going prior to 1982 so that
they could release their “vintage” line of reissue guitars, which are still being made today. Since the Japanese were already
so successful, they hired a Fender Japan team (largely made up of Greco’s designers and luthiers) to try to do what they
did best, but by changing the logo to “Fender” and putting Fender USA pickups in them. After a trial period, the USA team
decided to pay the Japanese team a visit and see how things were going. Upon completion of their trip, Dan lamented:
“Everybody came up to inspect them and the guys almost cried, because the Japanese  product was so good - it was what
we had been having a hell of a time trying to do."

So,  ....  due largely to the Japanese work ethic of leaving/accepting no room for error in their work and
their exceptional attention to detail and focused attitude, these early Fender Japan guitars (JV for Japanese Vintage) started
a successful legacy of real Fenders that continues today.

Fender Japan began in 1982 and their JV line of guitars was halted at the end of 1983. Starting in 1984, the “MIJ” (made in
Japan) decade began and continued through 1994. From 1994 until today, Fender Japan guitars are stamped with the “CIJ”
(crafted in Japan) logo. Fender “Squier” guitars were produced at the same time as the Fenders in Japan, but were made
as cheaper versions of the Fenders, to meet the demand for cheaper guitars in Japan and abroad. Fender “Squier” still
continues to this day.

Fender Japan currently makes more models of Fender guitars than Fender USA does, and most of them are regular
production-line models. Fender Japan also has a Custom Shop and Order-Made division. Many of these models were and
still are for Japan only, and not intended for export, and are difficult to purchase direct from Japan ..

Tips to help you accurately date your Fender Japan guitar...

First, you want to determine whether your guitar is from the JV, SQ, MIJ or CIJ series.

Q: What's the difference and how can you tell?

A:  The serial number of your guitar will begin with one of the above lettering sequences.  Fender Japan used
all of the above lettering sequences for the serial numbering of their guitars and basses over the years, and
knowing this first will help you determine the year of manufacture.  These stamps can be found in different
locations on your guitar, so now I'll tell you where you need to look to find these markings...

JV... acronym for "Japan Vintage"  On these guitars you will find the letters "JV" stamped/engraved into the
neck plate of the Stratocasters and bass guitars and on the bridges of the Telecasters and other guitar
models.  There will be 5 numbers also engraved after the "JV" lettering.  Fender "JV" guitars were only
made from 1982 to 1984.  On early Fender JV models, you will also find "MADE IN JAPAN" written very
small under the Fender spaghetti logo on the headstock of the guitar.  On later Fender JV models, the
"MADE IN JAPAN" can be found on the heel of the guitar neck, just above the metal neck plate.  All
Fender JV models had the serial numbers engraved into either the neck plate or bridge.  Many also have
       penciled neck dates (
6-14-82
) you can only see when the neck is removed from the body of the guitar.
