Japanese Full Dress Rear Admiral Tunic With Hat/Boards
This is an extremely rare original Showa period Imperial Japanese Navy full dress Rear Admirals tunic with the matching fore and aft hat and shoulder boards in the original metal container. All named to the same person. This person was a rear admiral of finance as indicated by the white piping on the sleeve. The tunic is in excellent condition with no moth damage to the out side and all buttons are present. The inside has one small pin hole size moth bite, but still in excellent condition. The hat has the same name that is embroidered inside the tunic as well as the metal box and the bottom of the shoulder boards. One of the shoulder boards has broken button (see pictures) and the other has a loose braid, but both can be repaired. The latch on the metal box is also broken.
