This, lighter Liquid Makeup is for the hands, arms and other visible parts of the body while the heavy white (Doran) 'Kabuki Oshiroi' (sold separately) is used on the face and neck. It is very easy to apply just as it is with a sponge or makeup pad. Just shake it, then put a little on a sponge and spread evenly over the hands and arms dabbing out any thick spots and let it dry. It produces a lovely, transparent white. Long-lasting yet easy to remove, it is not oily nor hard on the skin. These come from the famous Mitsuyoshi company which has a long history of supplying authentic makeup for the 'Hanamachi' District of Kyoto for use by the Maiko and Geiko of Gion and the Kabuki Actors of the Minamiza. This is the exact item they use. The 200 ml plastic bottle is enough for many applications.
