Japanese Geisha Maiko SHIRO-NURI Pro Sponge Puff & Dish - Used to Spread & Smooth Out the White Shiro-Nuri Makeup...

This absorbent sponge puff and plastic dish are for mixing and applying the 'Kabuki Oshiroi' Shiro-Nuri (Doran) face paint as used by Geiko and Kabuki Actors. The #60 Itahake brush is recommended for mixing and actually painting on the Doran but this pad is used to remove excess water and to smooth it over prior to applying the 'Konan Oshiroi' Face Powder. These are the exact items used by the Maiko and Geisha of Gion to apply their Shiro-Nuri makeup. This is made by the famous Mitsuyoshi which has a long history of supplying makeup to the Maiko and Geiko of Gion and to Kabuki Actors from the Minamiza.

NOTE -: We supply all of the professional items including 'Hake' makeup brushes. These are the real thing, exactly as used by the Maiko and Geiko of Gion.
