Hello, I welcome you to "nihontoart". I presently have a website that is under construction, in a few weeks it will be running. This way you can see and purchase swords directly if you are interested. You are welcome to visit me soon at www.nihontoart.com I am posting this really this beautiful Wakizashi dating back to Nanbokucho period ( Forged around 1350 AD). I have been collecting antiques for the past few of years.Over this time I have gathered a very large collection; I will be selling other items shortly, if you are interested in seeing them before I post please let me know. Their value range can vary. Everyone is welcome to see and ask questions, but only serious buyers please. Our collection are of very high quality items, every blade that I have collected has never had forging flaws or rust. I would categorize my blades to be of a higher grade compared to most of the others sold on Ebay. I have sold many on ebay and privately so far at much higher values. People with Zero Feedback please contact me before! Blade: This blade was made by "Kongo Byoe" from the Chikuzen province. Kongo Byoe is also known as "Chikuzenju Moritaka".The founder of Moritaka school started in middle Koshirae: The Fittings on this Handachi koshirae have a great deal of character, they all date back to Edo period. The Saya is in mainly red with mixtures of gold and black, the lacquer is in great condition and has a nice Semegane & Sayajiri. The Tsuka (handle) has a one piece rayskin and is in great condition, it is still in very tight fitting with the blade which is great for someone who studies the art of Iaidō. The Fuchi & Kashira have engravings of bids, very simple but they match the Menuki theme. Both Menuki's are Hawk Feathers covered in gold. The Tsuba alone is a beautiful collectors piece with beautiful golden flowers standing out, there are engravings on the outer ring of the Tsuba which can be seen. It is signed "Joshu ju Umetada". The Kazoku is has flower designs which looks like a family crest. The Habaki is silver colored. I have never seen a Koshirae this unique, altogether this makes a unique and very valuable antique Wakizashi. If you would like any more pictures or info don't be shy to inquire, I will be glad to answer with my limited knowledge. Thanks for watching :) More Details on the pieces: Koshirae Length: 71.95 cm Cutting Edge: 50.0 cm *** Item comes with a beautiful and traditional highly detailed and textured sword Bag .
