Oriental Vector Graphics

Available for the first time is a collection of vector graphics painstakingly hand drawn by Russ Billington. Billington, a professional illustrator and cartographer, has illustrated over 300 books, produced works for may magazines, created detailed designs for corporations and governments all over the world, and has written on the technical and artistic details of design. Billington has changed his focus from the corporate world to his love of Art Nouveau, Asian, and Arts & Crafts design styles and his long-time love of the printing art.

This compilation consists of thirty five highly detailed vector graphic designs.  The designs are based on Edo period Japanese artwork from wood block prints, stencils, and silk prints worn by the wealthy and the geisha. Subjects covered include traditional subjects such as koi fish, bamboo, dragon, cherry blossoms, hanging lantern, and much more. The graphics are in multiple formats for the widest area of support including CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, All Microsoft branded products including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and many, many more. These formats include .cdr, .dxf, .eps, .ai, and .wmf formats.

These formats can be used by word processing applications and desktop publishers. The vector graphics can be used by vinyl cutters, laser engravers, and CNC machines. The solid objects and clean paths can be used for extrusions in ArtCAM and other CNC design applications to create 3 dimensional engravings of any size. In addition, these can be used in vector-based embroidery digitizing software like Wilcom and Tajima Pulse.

These designs are licensed for unlimited personal use and limited commercial use. These can be used for creation of logos and limited print runs (under 1000 items). These may not be included on any other distribution of graphics or used for magazine or book printing without the expressed written permission of Russ Billington. You may create an unlimited number of prints using these designs if they are used to create blocks for letterpress printing.
