Intro:

Mei: Mumei ( attributed to the famous Shinto smith Jumyo)

Period: early Edo  (around 1603)

Nagasa (cutting edge):   44.5cm  (17.5 inch)

Sori (curve):  1.2cm

Kasane (thickness): 0.65cm

Hada (grain): Itame

Hamon: beautiful Gonome midare, high Yakihaba, deep and bright Nie and Nioi , rich of Activities.

Koshirae: very well preserved period Koshirae (early Edo period antique) including a signed Tsuba  and a nice looking Shoto.

It's a very precious Koshirae.


There is a shirasaya.

There is a NBTHK Hozon Kanteisho issued in 2003.
