“Mysteries of the Deep” is a lidded cachepot, carved in the English Cotswolds by Monique Baldwin.
The interior inscription reads, “La mer a des yeux et la foret a des oreilles”,
which when translated in English means, “The sea has eyes and the forest has ears.”
Produced overseas. Approximate height 4 1/2 inches.

Jardinia® cachepots are elegant and
imaginative vases, urns and boxes.
Offered in a variety of shapes, sizes
and styles, they are visually compelling
and functional. Carved with graceful
bas-relief designs, Jardinia’s warm
ivory look and feel result from the use
of a special crushed marble medium
pioneered in the English Cotswolds.
