This beautiful 1st edition hardcover copy of Jean M. Auel's The Plains of Passage is in excellent condition and comes complete with the original dust jacket!
The binding is tight and the pages are free from tears, marks and creases. The front inside flap of the dust jacket has a slight tear that does not effect any of the printing on it. There is also a sticker on the first page that reads "This book belongs to Kathy Harris".
This is the fourth installment of her Earth's Children series.
Book Synopsis:
Auel describes her characters' travails in impeccably researched detail. The saga continues the cross-continental journey of Ayla, her mate Jondalar and their menagerie to his homeland. En route, they encounter a variety of problems, yet manage to find panaceas for each. Their enlightened compilation of skills, inventions, therapies and recipes transforms the voyagers into spirit-like personas providing The Others with constant awe. A brief encounter with the Neanderthal Clan rekindles the unique charm of the first book. Such locutions as "out of the cooking skin into the coals" or "Mother's path of milk" for the Milky Way are coyly anachronistic.
This book is a must for the library of any Jean M. Auel fan! Will make a wonderful gift!
