ANGEL with ROSES
Jim Shore - Heartwood Creek Angel with "Basket of Beauties".   All of these amazing detailed figurines with their muted yet colourful quilted pattern provide a handcrafted look.  They are made of durable stone resin and make great home decor and lovely, thoughtful gifts.  

This one measures approximately 11 1/2  inches in height. There is another angel with roses but it is much, much smaller.

A native of South Carolina, Jim Shore utilizes his skills as a portraitist, sculptor and folk artist to create his unique and creative collection for Enesco Home Gallery. His current collection, Heartwood Creek, combines tabletop and figurines to create a charming and innovative American country décor statement.A self-taught artist, Shore worked as an engineer before turning his full attention to art. He has painted in a variety of media including watercolor and egg tempura, a technique made popular by artists Andrew Wyeth and Bob Timberlake. Shore has also perfected his technique in silver and gold-smithing, wood carving, stained glass, furniture making and sculpting in stone. This collection combines folk art appeal with authentic quilt designs to create rich, colorful figurines and accessories. Each figurine features a hang tag or title that tells a story to add an additional dimension of quality to the line. By including accessories with the quilting motifs, you are able to carry this look throughout your home and even into your garden.
