Jinx Garza Lampwork Studded Cobalt Evil Eye Bead 91105

The transparent cobalt glass core is evenly studded with metallic silver glass. The irises are iridescent cobalt blue on mirrored scleras. The protruding silver pupil is a stud in its own right. Bead measures approximately 8mm tall by 15mm wide (pupil to pupil); hole is 3/32 of an inch. Comes temporarily strung on the silver tassel as pictured, ready to hang wherever you need it (tassel is for decorative purposes, not to be worn as jewelry).

Evil eye beads are believed by many to have the apotropaic power to deflect glances of envy and the bad luck that ensues. In some cultures they’re used for protection against negative energy. Eye beads can also represent the third eye (the sixth charka), the symbol of enlightenment. I make my contemporary interpretations of these influential ancient beads by hand, using the very same lampworking techniques and elements used by artisans centuries ago. Each one, designed and created in the flame, is infused with an abundance of my own positive energy. These little good luck charms, made from the essence of earth, air and fire will do their best to protect the wearer from the evils of modern living by bringing a smile to all who see them.
