I'm thinning down my personal collection, and offer my last new copy of "Two-Cylinder Collectors Series, Volume II", published by the Two-Cylinder Club. This volume features updated and greatly expanded articles about tractors covered in the Two-Cylinder Club Newsletters from 1986. Pages 7 through 22 give the history of the Froelich tractor, the first gasoline tractor to propel itself forwards and backward, and includes photos of the original 1892 Froelich tractor, the story behind it, and the men who built it, and also tells the story of the replica built by John Deere in 1939. Pages 23 through 144 of this 144-page volume covers five models of John Deere tractors in detail: The Model "C" Tractor (forerunner to the "GP"), the ultra-rare "GP" Tricycle (forerunner of the "GP" Wide-Tread), the unstyled Model "A" , the Model "AO" Streamlined ("AOS"), John Deere's first "styled" tractor, and the Model "H" Tractor. As with Volume I, Volume II is full of photos (including many photos of prototype and experimental tractors), and information that's still as useful today as it was in 1993, when this book was published. Anyone interested in John Deere tractors should have this volume on their bookshelf.
