All About Beer, by John Porter, 91 pages.  It calls itself "A light treatise on the pleasures, properties, and unusual uses of man's oldest friend" Though originally published in 1975, this book is still a classic for the discriminating beer lover. Even at 91 pages, the book is chock full of history, trivia, information, "how-to", and recipes that use beer or go well with beer. Recipes include: Steak & Kidney Pie, Bitter Batter (to go with Bitter Battered Shrimp), Welsh Rabbit, and such wondrous beer beverages as Black Velvet and the classic Shandygaff.

Ever wonder what the differences are between ale, stout & malt liquor? That burning question and others are answered here! Find uses for beer in bath and garden!  You can even find out how to make your own beer with just a few simple pieces of equipment!

This edition of the book is rare & rather hard to find. It's in very good condition. It's a de-accessioned library book (library stamp on contents page), complete with sealed dust jacket. The book is filled with photos and illustrations, with the look of a vintage book (the paper is a cream, the print a dark brown) With the exception a single folded corner and a small notation in pen in the brewing section, the book is free from marks and writing, and the edges and corners are clean and unbent; the spine is perfect. This book would be a joy for any beer lover, be it a gift or for yourself!
