Breaker, breaker good buddy! This is Gentleman Jim inviting you to bid on a vintage Johnson Messenger model 223 base station and microphone.

This base station brings back memories. In the 70s/80s I was a member of a Citizen Band React Team in Orange County California. We handled CB calls for highway assistance from drivers on Southern California's busy freeways. Back then it seemed that nearly every vehicle had a CB. My handle was Gentleman Jim.

This is a tube type CB base station.

It appears to be in good condition, but because I do not have an antenna I have not tested it.

The radio has 23 channels, and

It uses uses 9 tubes. I am told they are: 12AT7, two 6BJ6, 6AW8A, 12AB5, 12BE6, 8077/7054, 7061, and 12BW4.

The size is approximately 11" X 10" X 7"
