This is an original stock certificate from the now-defunct Johnstown (PA) Hockey Company back in the '60s when Johnny Mitchell managed the Johnstown Jets and Lloyd Ailsby was the coach.  You may remember Don Hall, Dick Roberge, Ronnie Lee, Crash Kelley, Dave Lucas, Buddy McDonald, Bobby Dawes, John Lumley, and later Galen Head, and later the Carlson brothers, Jack, Steve and Jeff (the Hanson brothers from the movie Slapshot) and "Killer" Dave Hanson (the model for "Killer" Carlson in teh movie).

This certificate is for 7 shares of stock and was issued to Bidermann T. "Ermie" du Pont, a one-time president of the hockey company.  It was signed by Charles Kunkle, Jr., the President and by the Secretary, Leonard J. Black.  All three lived on the same street in the borough of Westmont, in Johnstown -- two next door neighbors and the other (Len Black) was only separated by one other home.  It measures 8 1/2 x 11".

It is in like-new condition with no bends, stains or scuffs on the corners or edges.  If you look closely you can see that it was folded in thirds one time, probably to put in a safe deposit box.  You can barely see it.
