Joy of Motherhood' Mother & Child 21" Bronze Sculpture

Hand made of real cast Bronze, not brass or pot metal! Motherhood glories in her child in this beautiful and touching sculpture. A beautifully draped and coifed woman holds her child uplifted in her arms, their love for one-another evident in every graceful line. Mother and child are moulded into dynamic and energetic lines, with soft detailing, perfect for the dynamic and everchanging relationship parents and their children have. The base is mostly plain so as to not detract from the sculpture except for a short series of roses on each side of the base, traditional symbols for joy and love. This sculpture is made using the lost wax method, and hand rubbed to polish and bring out the warm glow of bronze at its best. At nearly 22" tall, 'Motherhood' is quite a substantial piece, large enough to be easily seen and admired without being overpowering. This is also a weighty piece, weighing nearly 15lbs, heavy enough to not easily be knocked over by mistake. This item is hand-crafted, please expect some variation and slight irregularities. These are not defects but show the uniqueness of your item. This is new with no problems.
