K2 Apache Outlaw, 167 cm, with upgraded Marker 13.0 Titanium Piston Control bindings.  We may have this ski available in other sizes.  Click here  to find this ski in other sizes !!  Retail price of this package is $1300.00.  These skis are a brand new and the bindings are unmounted.  This version of the Outlaw is from the 2006 and 2007 K2 model year.  This skis is unchanged for 2008 except for changes in graphics.

The Outlaw is K2's widest ski in the Apache series.  The metal laminate construction makes this an outstanding ski in tough, cruddy snow, and the width makes it an outstanding powder ski.  If you are the guy who is looking to be off trail every chance you get, the Outlaw is THE ski for you.  First tracks in the morning, crud in the afternoon, the Outlaw will eat it all up.

K2 Apache Outlaw Features:

• Laminate construction with Titanal metal layers above and below the wood core.  Metal makes this ski rock solid at higher speeds, and increases edge hold dramatically.
• Vertically laminated Fir-Aspen wood core.  K2 has been building wood core skis forever.  Wood is springy, it absorbs vibration well, and it is very durable. 
• Separate foam Module sits on top of the core, under the top sheet to dampen vibration.
• Polished Monic dampening weight inset into the forebody of the ski 
• Top of the line, electra 2000 graphite base.
• New Apache sidecut moves the widest part of the ski forward, increasing the amount of edge on the snow without making the ski longer.
• Round, extended tail shape keeps the ski from hanging when turning in bumpy conditions.

Marker 13.0 Titanium Piston Control Turbo included.  This ski is most commonly sold with the M1 binding, but there is advantage to owning this ski with a custom mounted binding such as the 13.0 Ti PC Turbo.  The toe and heel components are exactly the same as the M1 14.0 system.  However, with this custom mounted system, the binding location on the ski will be exactly where it should be for your boot sole.  Most integrated systems, including K2's M system only provide a few locations for your boot to sit on the ski.  So, you may end up in front of, or behind the optimum mounting position.  With the 14.0 PC Turbo mounted on the ski, specifically for your boot, you can be certain you are exactly where the boot is designed to be.

• Comshock Piston toe (WHAT REALLY SETS THIS BINDING APART FROM OTHERS) - A hydraulic cylinder inside the toe piece resists very fast side to side movement.  So, as the binding is absorbing shock at high speed, the boot stays much closer to the center line.  The result is a tighter link between boot and ski, and better retention at high speed.  THIS ENGINEERING COMES FROM MARKER RACING BINDINGS.
• Biometric toe features upward release in backwards falls, and offers the tightest boot to binding connection on the market.  The biometric models from Marker offer a tighter link between boot and ski versus the less expensive Biotech models Marker also offers.
• Piston Control Turbo makes a good ski much better.  The Piston Control arm extends out in front of the toe piece, and is fastened to the top of the ski.  Because the hydraulic cylinder wants to extend and retract slowly, vibration traveling through the ski is filtered out by the hydraulic action of the cylinder.  The result is a ski that is smoother, more stable, and holds its edge better.
• Marker's exclusive Gliding AFD eliminates the sliding interaction between the toe of the boot and the toe of the binding. The entire toe and toe rest move with the both side to side allowing a very consistent release.
• Soft entry heel has a very low step in force, making the binding easier to get back into on difficult terrain, and very easy to get out of also.
• Titanium component construction is very light, but also very strong, and super durable for many days of use by even the most aggressive skiers.  The link between boot and ski is very tight.
• This binding has a DIN range of 3 to 12, and will work for any skier with a DIN setting of 4 or higher.  That is virtually any adult skier.

Provide your boot sole length to us, and we will premount the bindings for FREE!  This will save you time and money.  When your new Outlaws arrive, you will only need to have the bindings final adjusted to fit your exact boot, and have the binding adjusted to your DIN setting.  We even hand tune the tips and tails and wax the bases for you when we premount.  Be sure to include the length of your boot sole in millimeters with your payment.
