On his third album IT'S A BEAUTIFUL THING, Keith Murray returns to the scene with his extended vocabulary and punch-line rhymes. As 1/3 of the Def Squad, Keith Murray released EL NINO, a solid album that built up much anticipation for another Murray solo project. The songs on BEAUTIFUL THING are hardcore, flaunting the basic elements of rap music, beats and lyrics. "When I Rap" is your usual braggadocio-filled hip-hop tune, where Keith delivers line after self-confident line. Other songs such as "Secret Indictment" and "Bad Day" give Keith a chance to dabble into storytelling rap territory. With guests such as LL Cool J, Canibus, Redman and Erick Sermon, IT'S A BEAUTIFUL THING is a true hip-hop watermark.
