Stock look - Double din sized
This receiver will look completely stock.  It is a double din sized receiver which looks similar to the receivers in upgraded systems in cars such as Lexus or BMW.  This one has much better features which will be explained in the next paragraphs.

Multi-Line Dot Matrix Style Display
The DPX-303 has a beautiful and bright dot matrix display.  Best of all it has a 3 line display so that it can display a load of information on the screen.  The advantage of a dot matrix display is that it is easy to read during day or night.  It also looks way cooler than the older display technology.  The dot matrix display comes in handy when you are using MP3 files or listening to your ipod because it will display text on the display such as artist names and song titles.

Satellite Radio Ready:
The receiver will display artist names, and song titles, and it will give you full Sirius controls directly from the receiver.  Satellite radio simply requires a tuner, antenna, and subscription.

RDS Radio Tuning:
This will display the name of the radio station (for example Z100) and will also display the artist name and song title!  RDS also gives you much better radio reception.  This is similar to HD radio but you do not have to spend extra money.  Luxury vehicles such as Lexus will sometimes offer this in their premium sound systems.  This premium receiver has this feature!

2 Sets of pre-amp output + Sub-out:
The pre-amp outputs allow you to hook up external amps for your speakers without needing to purchase additional accessories.  Since this has 2 sets of pre-amps you can hook up 2 amps.  One of the pre-amp outputs is switchable to be used as a sub pre-amp so you can use this receiver to expand your system and include subwoofers.

Built in high powered amp
The receiver is rated at 50 x 4 watts, which is twice as loud as other receivers on the market at this price point.  This receiver uses a MOSFET power supply which is known to power the speakers more efficiently. The lower end receivers use amps that are not Mosfet powered and they do not put nearly as much power to your speakers as one with a MOSFET power supply used in most of the premier brand name receivers, such as this one.  This receiver will make your speakers super loud without having to purchase any additional external amps!

Aux input:

Controls and operates and charges your iPod or iPhone.  The receiver will display artist and song information on the beautiful display.  This requires the KCA-IP500 Ipod cable.

Built in Preset Equalizer curves:
This receiver will allow you to customize the sound of the receiver with the built in selectable equalizer curves.  You can select from different equalizer settings to match your music taste. You can customize the bass boost, as well for added bass.  This receiver has 7 preset curves and a custom curve.

Ipod Interface Built In
The CDX-GT920U will control and operate and charge your iPod.  You will not need any additional accessories.  Simply hook your ipod up to the USB input of the receiver.  The receiver will display artist and song information on the beautiful display. 

Advanced MP3 Functions
A really cool feature that this receiver has is ID3 Tag display when playing back MP3 tracks.  What this does is it displays the song name, artist name, and other info on the display of the receiver.  You can also navigate the MP3 tracks by folder or song name and select which song you want to play.

Built in High and Low pass Crossover filters
This feature is normally only found in the $300.00 receivers.  The high pass filter will allow you to filter out unwanted noises from your full range speakers while the low pass crossover filter will allow you to filter out unwanted noises from your bass or mid-bass speakers.  A crossover also allows your speakers to go louder without distorting them because you are filtering out the frequencies that cause the speaker to distort easily.  The crossover also will make your speakers last longer because they eliminate distortion frequencies and distortion is what causes speakers to blow.  With the crossover your speakers will last 10 times longer.

Plays all the most popular disc formats:
This will play all your CD/MP3/WMA/AAC and other popular disc formats.  You can fit about 300 songs on a regular CD-R or CD-RW disc and play it in this receiver!  The receiver will display artist and song information on the beautiful super bright display. 

Sub Controls:
This receiver has built in sub controls.  You can control the volume of your subwoofer directly through the audio settings on the receiver.  You can also adjust the phase setting of the receiver as well.

Dual Zone:
This is one of the only navigation receivers that is dual zone compatible.  This means you can have 1 source playing in the front, while having a second source playing in the rear.  For example you can watch a DVD in the rear while listening to the radio in the front.

Ipod Interface Built In

Kenwood Music Editor Software Included
The DPX503 comes supplied with the Kenwood Music Editor software Version 2.1.0.  this software will help you organize, manage and transfer music files to your USB devices from your PC.  The software will automatically create Play lists based on parameters you enter.  It will automatically analyze songs and group them with songs from the same genre.

Expandibility Options:

Bluetooth Ready - requires KCA-BT200
When using this receiver with the optional bluetooth adapter.  The head unit will display all your caller ID information and mute your music automatically, when you receive a phone call!  Included is a microphone, which is built into the receiver (no extra installation hardware).  When you talk using  the hands free, the sound will come from your car speakers, and you can listen and talk freely!  You can even search your phone book and dial through the receiver.
