We are offering here a pair of Key Date Indian Head Cents from the tumultuous Reconstruction Period of American History - the 1868 and 1876.

Firstly, the 1868 is coveted in any grade and always an object of desire regardless of condition by specialists in this truly American series.

The genuine specimen we offer here started life a Gem, circulated down to a very good over the years and now sports several edge dings, a scratch and some porosity but still has a strong date and a certain charm as a lovely affordable example.

Next is a much more solid 1876, the popular US Centennial Year issue, which is in basic good condition but plagued by several edge nicks on both sides and a somewhat darker burnt sienna patina.
